Success Stories

Carers Trust grant – Shirley is an unpaid carer for her son Daniel,

Daniel was invited to compete in the special Berlin Olympics,  and Shirley worked hard to fundraise to get Daniel there, however she needed  more funds and contacted our Carers Information and Support Service.

With support from our support officer Christine Barnes, Shirley was able to apply for a Carers Trust grant. Getting Daniel to the Berlin Olympics was  a once in a life time experience and Carers Trust awarded the Grant.

Daniel competed and won two bronze and one silver medal!

WELL DONE DANIEL!

DH is a big football fan – especially Roth Utd. He and his support worker go to all the home matches

Crossroads were incredibly fortunate to receive a legacy from a previous client and supporter of the charity – using this money we decided to support 12 clients to do an outing/activity of their choice that they wouldn’t be bale to do without our support (financial, emotional, physical). We arranged and paid for DH and his support worker to attend a Roth Utd match, in corporate hospitality and meet all the players.

DH said he had the best day!
